Explore the world’s first hearing aid with user-intent sensors^

Today’s hearing aids understand sound but not the user

Even within the same sound environment, users have different listening needs. Today’s hearing aids understand sound, but not the user. They apply a one-size-fits-all approach to sound processing. But we at Oticon know you can’t treat all users the same way. Only by understanding each user’s listening intention, can we provide truly personalised support - empowering them to engage in life and communicate with ease.

Personalised support with the world’s first user-intent sensors

New BrainHearing™ insights1 reveal that people’s communication behaviour reflects their listening needs and intentions via head and body movements.

With the introduction of our new premium hearing aid Oticon Intent, we incorporate information from head and body movement, conversation activity and the acoustic environment into the world’s first 4D Sensor technology^.

This groundbreaking technology seamlessly adapts to the user’s specific listening needs – even within the same sound environment. Oticon Intent helps users move beyond just hearing and listening, helping them to communicate and fully engage in life.

The release of Oticon Intent presents multiple major breakthroughs designed to help hearing aid users engage more with the world around them

A sleek new design

Oticon Intent comes in a range of colours and performance levels to match each client’s preferences. It boasts a sleek new design, making it the smallest, most discreet rechargeable miniRITE style Oticon has crafted to date, yet it’s packed with both a telecoil and a large size 13 lithium-ion battery. The new design also includes touch control for call handling*, a single easy-to-use push-button for quick and intuitive hearing aid control, and a pulsing LED light making it easier to see the hearing aid’s status for caretakers, users, and hearing care professionals.

*Double-tap control only available in Oticon Intent 1, 2 & 3.

Improved rechargeability

Oticon Intent is the fastest charging Oticon hearing aid ever. In fact, it comes with a 33% reduction in charging time compared to Oticon Real™. The size 13 lithium-ion battery gives users more power between charges and provides faster and more stable charging. When fully charged it offers 20 hours of use, while a speedy 15-minute charge delivers users four hours of battery life, or 8 hours of power in just a 30-minute charge*.

Both our Desk Charger and portable SmartCharger offer improved usability and charging performance, alongside a sleek new design, made to fit seamlessly into each user’s life. High stability makes them easy to use every day, while being both discreet and pleasing to the eye. And colour coding ensures easy and intuitive placement of hearing aids. What's more, the portable SmartCharger features a lid for additional protection and it provides multiple charges, even if your client doesn't have access to a power source.

*Expected use time for rechargeable battery depends on use pattern, active feature set, hearing loss, sound environment, battery age and use of wireless accessories.

The world’s first self-calibrating speaker

Oticon Intent comes with the world’s first self-calibrating speaker, making speaker inaccuracy a thing of the past. MiniFit Detect delivers gain accuracy within 1dB, providing up to 57% more precise gain compared to previous speaker units by Oticon, and makes it even easier and more efficient for hearing care professionals to fit Oticon Intent.

The new miniFit Detect speaker units with fitting levels 60 and 100 offer more headroom due to a higher Maximum Power Output, giving you more options and flexibility when it comes to meeting a user’s fitting needs. The miniFit Detect power levels 60, 85, and 100 are available with domes as well as custom-made MicroShell Detect moulds, while the miniFit Detect 105 comes with a custom-made MicroShell Detect.

Next-generation Bluetooth® LE Audio

With Bluetooth LE Audio, Oticon Intent is a future-proof hearing aid, ready for future communication technologies such as Auracast™ broadcast audio*. Users with smart devices that can handle LE Audio can stream high-quality audio content and enjoy hands-free calls on compatible Android™ phones and tablets with OS 14 (or newer). Your clients can even take online meetings and video calls on their compatible PC with two-way audio.

Now, with the new Easy LE Adapter, the benefits of LE Audio are available to users wearing Oticon Intent, even if they currently don’t have devices that are LE Audio compatible**. Simply plug the Easy LE Adapter into your client's compatible USB-C smart device to instantly upgrade them to the latest LE Audio technology***. Once one smart device is paired to the hearing aids, your clients can switch the Easy LE Adapter between their different USB-C smart devices seamlessly – without needing to pair again.

* Auracast broadcast audio will be available through a future firmware update.

** The Easy LE Adapter is not intended for use with phones that support Bluetooth LE Audio, or with iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Vision Pro.

*** Most phones that have a 3.5 mm audio jack built into them will not support the Easy LE Adapter, as some phone manufacturers choose to route the audio through the jack port rather than the USB-C port.

Provide your clients with high sound quality and greater power efficiency while streaming music, podcasts and movies. With the latest Bluetooth LE Audio technology, users can make and receive hands-free calls from their compatible Android™ device and PC.5 And as Made for iPhone hearing aids, users with a compatible iPhone, iPad or Mac can also enjoy high-quality audio streaming and hands-free calls.

Your clients will even be ready for future communication technologies such as Auracast broadcast audio.6
